Master Flo Manually/ROV Operated
Subsea Choke Valves

Master Flo Valve Inc. has been manufacturing subsea chokes since 1991. With our extensive Research and Development Department, we continually strive to improve the product and achieve the optimum performance. With this in mind Master Flo has designed a subsea choke which may be operated by a driver or ROV (remote operating vehicle). This unit is designed to incorporate a bolted bonnet and incorporates the following:

Features: Available in inline or right angle configuration. Bolted bonnet construction. Compact design. Metal-to-metal seating capabilities, Class V. Standard proven cage design with external sleeve. Solid tungsten carbide flow nozzle. Metal-to-metal bonnet seal. Body outlet protection sleeve. Mechanical position indicator in percentage stem travel. High turn down ratio providing accurate controllability. Manual interface to accommodate application. Oil filled, pressure compensated gearbox housing.

Options: Metal-to-metal stem seal. Available in a bridge design. Mechanical position indication is available in size and increments to meet Customer's requirements. ROV bucket. Electrical position feedback. Top or side drive system is available.

Due to the trim characteristics of the valve, the valve works extremely well in controlling wear and the location in which it takes place; shut-off and throttling is designed to utilize separate surfaces to ensure the maximum life of the trim.

Hydraulically Actuated, Non-retrievable Bolted Bonnet

Master Flo Valve Inc. has developed a Subsea unit which allows the Master Flo actuator to operate the unit remotely in both open and close loop systems. This has been proven to be a very reliable unit, through extensive in-house testing and field operation.

Master Flo Diver Assist Insert Retrievable

Master Flo manufactures a subsea valve that provides for simple diver retrieval of the insert. This unit is available with an actuator for remote operation or may be operated manually by a diver or ROV.

Master Flo Guidelineless Subsea
Tool Insert Retrievable Choke

Master Flo Valve Inc.'s subsea experience has led to the development of a simple tool insert retrievable choke. The CIM (Choke Insert Module) utilizes a simplified tooling package known as the CIRT (Choke Insert Retrieval Tool). This was developed through our past experience on hydraulic and mechanical guideline tooling packages. This tool may be deployed by a dual downline or drilling pipe/sling. An ROV is utilized to: a) guide the CIRT, b) mate the electrical connector, c) release and connect the CIM into the body, d) and provide visual monitoring of the installation throughout the operation. This design enables the chokes to be used in depths up to 18,000 feet of water.
